In Loving Memory of Normi
Normi was not just my sister-in-law. she was a force. A strong, beautiful soul who walked through life with certainty, honesty, and a heart that never pretended. From the very first moment she met you, she knew… and you knew too. There was no guessing with Normi she was real, she was direct, and she was unapologetically herself. And that is what made her unforgettable.
She carried her love for family in the deepest way, just like her mother. Family wasn’t just important to her it was everything. The laughter, the gatherings, the music, the dancing… those moments were her joy, and she made sure everyone around her felt it. When Normi was there, there was life.
She loved to dance really dance, the kind that comes from the soul. And she loved her dominoes… my dominoes partner. Those games weren’t just games, they were moments, memories, pieces of time I will hold onto forever.
But beyond all of that, Normi had a quiet, powerful love she prayed for us. Even when we didn’t know it, even when life got heavy, she carried us in her prayers. That kind of love… that kind of care… is rare.
This past year, she gave me something I will never forget strength. Motivation. Perspective. Normi was a fighter in every sense of the word. She didn’t just go through life she stood in it, strong and unshaken, even when things were hard. Especially when things were hard.
Normi leaves behind more than memories she leaves behind a feeling. A presence. A strength that lives on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.
And while our hearts ache in her absence, we carry her in every laugh, every family gathering, every domino played, every prayer whispered, and every moment we choose to be strong just like she was.
Normi, you were one of a kind.
And you will be loved… forever.
