Mr. Alan J. Craig's Obituary
Mr. Alan J. Craig age 88 of Lake Worth, FL passed away peacefully on March 16, 2015. Alan was born on May 1, 1926 in New Haven, CT to his parents, Mr. Frank Hall Craig and Mrs. Agnes Craig. He moved to the Lake Worth area in 1996 coming from his former hometown of Cheshire, CT. Alan was a WWII US Army Veteran serving in the Army Air Corp Squadron A 485th. Mr. Craig worked for Whitney-Blake for 15 years in Hamden, CT and retired from Stone Safety in Wallingford, CT after three years as the Vice President of Personnel. He was the former Chairman of the Retirement Board of the Town of Cheshire for 22 years and a member of the Scottish Society of Boynton Beach, FL. Alan worshipped with his family at the St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Lake Worth, FL. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Florence Craig in 1990. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of twenty one years, Romona Craig; his four loved children, Susan Kelly and husband, Brian, Jim Craig and wife, Patty, Mary Mackiewicz and husband, Edwin and Donald Craig; his adored sister, Nancy Craig; and his eight precious grandchildren and three treasured great grandchildren; and numerous step-children, step-grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Family and friends will gather and pay respects on Saturday, March 21, 2015 from 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Blvd., Lantana, FL 33462, (561) 586-1237. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:30 PM in the Chapel of Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home with Reverend Pierre L. Exantus officiating.
