I was Tony's English teacher at
LWHS. He sat in the first row and was perfectly engaged every second. Years later, when I was an adult education teacher
In Broward County, he somehow found a way to send a letter thanking me for a creative writing unit. I think he was in the army at the time but still wrote as an outlet. He said I deserved all the credit for that. I gave out lists of adjectives so that students could describe places more accurately. He made up his own word, a combination of DULL and DINGY, which was "DULGY."Most high school students were appreciative, but his effort in finding me was huge. I am glad I got the chance to know him.
