I met our dear uncle for the very first time in 1975, having heard many loving stories about him from my mother. Quiet in nature, we became friends quickly. Grand uncle and I maintained this friendship over the years, even though I had not seen him since the early 198o's. When we talked on the phone, I'd leave with a yearning to see him. He worked long and hard to provide for his family, doing the very best he could. I'll remember him for his laughter, kind demeanor , the lovely friendship we shared and his great love for his children and family. Fly on uncle, take your rest upon your Father's breast. We remember you with love. Always. ~Madge Scott.
