Brigite Alexander's Obituary
A MEMORIAL ASSESMBLY
IN LOVING MEMORY OF BRIGITE ALEXANDRE
Brigite Alexandre, age 96 years old, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 12, 2018. Born on February 27, 1922 in Desvarieux Mirebalais, Haiti; Brigite Paul began her journey through life. Brigite was the youngest daughter of a Farmer and Distiller Chresilus Paul and a Professional Seamstress Corrine Paul. It was from her parents she would learn to build and run a business which afforded her family new opportunities. Brigite’s successful career would expand for the next 70 years.
Aside from running a successful business, Brigite would always say that her two greatest accomplishments in her life was her family and being an obedient servant of Jehovah God. She would marry her beloved husband the late Augustin Rameau Alexandre born October 26, 1907 and died October 26, 1991. Rameau and Brigite married on January 26, 1945. Together they had 13 children in which she is survived by 6 children, 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Her surviving children are Jean Mary Alexandre born December 27, 1945, Jean Andre Alexandre born April 16, 1952, Joel Alexandre born January 16, 1956, Jean Yvelte Alexandre born April 29, 1960, Therese Alexandre born October 1, 1962; her adopted daughter Lamere Alenord Joseph and her nephew and nieces Albert, Elisema and Marie Therese.
She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren Welson Alexandre, Otniel Alexandre, Jero Alexandre, Jehiel Alexandre, Julie Alexandre, Mclynn Alexandre Banks, Jean Alexandre, Andrena Alexandre, Keziah Desplan, Ismael Desplan, Jennifer Alexandre, Syndia Alexandre, Roolse Alexandre, Sergine Brutus, Alexandra Alexandre, Alejandro Alexandre, Alejandra Alexandre, Alesandro Alexandre; her adopted grandchildren Leslyne Joseph, Bernadette Joseph and Magalie Joseph.

She was very proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother that was blessed to see her family grow and spend invaluable time with them. Brigite has been a devoted Jehovah Witness for nearly 40 years. She would often refer to her day of birth as December 18, 1978 because she says that is the day she was baptized and began her life’s purpose as faithful and proud servant of Jehovah. Brigite was known for her feisty, yet good sense of humor. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
The Alexandre Family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has loved our beloved Mommie. Personally, the family would like to thank Sr. Lucene, Fr. Altidor, Fr. Saintilair, Fr. Douyah, Fr. Sanon, Mme Miradieu, Mme Abner for their ongoing help and support of Sr. Brigite Alexandre.
