Catherine A Brasch's Obituary
Catherine A. Brasch, age 97, passed away on May 11, 2026, leaving behind a beautiful and loving family. Known affectionately as “Dolly,” Catherine was a devoted sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She is survived by her sister, Suzanne, and her brother, Louis. She was predeceased by her sister, Marianne. Catherine is also survived by her children: Kenneth Derck and his wife, Linda; Linda Casale and her husband, Nick; and Debra Hess and her husband, Henry. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory forever. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Catherine raised her young family there with her husband, Charlie Brasch. A dedicated secretary for many years, she spent much of her life in Brooklyn before moving to Far Rockaway, New York, where she continued raising her family. After her children were grown and married, Catherine moved to Massapequa Park, Long Island, to be closer to her sisters, Marianne and Suzanne. In her later years, Catherine relocated to Florida to be near her daughter, Debra. There, she became very active in her community, enjoying a vibrant social life and assisting with home rentals and real estate sales. Catherine loved being involved in community activities and brought joy and energy wherever she went. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
