Celso Camejo Sr.'s Obituary
Celso Camejo, Sr. age 91 of Lake Worth, Florida was called home to join God's Kingdom on September 29, 2014 after a lifetime of devoted service to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; whereby he was greeted by his beloved wife, Isolina (nee Santos) Camejo who has been waiting for him since December of 2011. Celso was brought into this world on April 9, 1923 in Oriente, Cuba to the late Mrs. Ilania (nee Jeronimo) Camejo and the late Mr. Ramon Camejo. Celso left his home country of Cuba in 1967 and settled in Western New York and New Jersey areas; where he worked his way on the path of Citizenship and maintained a long and hard working career in the Textile Industry as a Textile Worker for the ARNATEX Corporation until his retirement in 1990. After his retirement in 1990, he moved and settled in the West Palm Beach area to enjoy the warm South Florida Sunshine. Celso was a sharped dress man and loved shopping for clothing and accessories that reflected his debonair style and most distinguished look; he was very rarely ever found without his head covered with a beautiful fedora. He also loved to take care of animals and any creature that was in need of veterinarian care for you see, Celso had virtually trained himself to be a Veterinarian by self-discipline, study, reading and learning the Anatomy, Physiology and General Practicum of Animal Care and Nurturing. He helped many of God's creatures that were in need of love and compassion by mending broken bones; or creating formulary diets, tinctures and treatments to help them heal and on extreme cases even surgical practices to save their life. He was richly blessed with an uncanny skill and knowledge that could have only been passed down as a spiritual gift from God. Celso had a fancy for collecting coins of all numeration and various origins; his love for coin collecting was so great that one could call him a regular Numismatist. But potentially the greatest love of Celso’s life was his love for his family and friends, most especially his grandson, Bryce Camejo who was the sunshine in his life. Celso was a great singer and loved to croon and serenade the people; especially if there was an open mic he would hit the floor center stage and begin to serenade the audience. His other gifts were his kind, proper, gentle and selfless ways in which he treated his fellow man. Celso was truly a divine gift sent from God above to look after those in need of love and affection. As it is written in Psalm 119:105, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and light unto my path." He will be forever honored and loved by his devoted son and daughter-in-law, Celso Camejo, Jr. and Kimberly Camejo; and his shining star grandson, Bryce Camejo; and a host of close friends and acquaintances. Family and friends will gather and pay respects on Friday, October 3, 2014 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 586-1237 with a Celebration of His Life Service to begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Amparo Medrano to officiate. Burial will follow in Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 585-6444.
