Mrs. Delfina B. Calderon's Obituary
Mrs. Delfina B. Calderon age 93 of West Palm Beach, Florida was called home on April 20, 2015 to join her beloved husband, Luis B. Calderon in Heaven. Luis has been awaiting her arrival since August 10, 2000 when he left this earthly domain and entered into Heaven's Gates. Mrs. Calderon was born on August 1, 1921 in Bogota, Colombia to her parents, Mr. Enrique Sanchez and Mrs. Adela (nee Buitrago) Sanchez. She moved to the United States of America in 1978 to start a new life with her family coming from her hometown of Bogota, Colombia. Mrs. Calderon loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and worshipped at St. Rita Catholic Church in Wellington, Florida, where her and Luis used to go to various couples activities that were sponsored by the Church. She also loved to cook Gourmet Meals for her family and friends and go out and work in her flower garden; as well as raise her favorite birds the Cockatoo of which she kept at a minimum of four in her own home as family pets. Delfina was a very loving, giving and selfless person and not to mention a very respectable "Lady". She taught her children and grandchildren to always be courteous and respectable to others by encouraging them to be honorable children and adults. She spared the rod most of the time but was never afraid to use it if there was a situation that deemed it necessary to right a wrong action by any of her children or grandchildren as they were growing from childhood to adults. She lived up to the story in the Bible about the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31:28-31 where it says, "28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29 Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. 30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. 31 Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates". For she has been truly blessed in all these gifts that she shares with her family. Delfina will be forever loved and honored by her family and friends and she leaves behind to cherish her memories five loved children, Jaime F. Calderon, Carlos E. Calderon Buitrago and wife, Margarita Lopez Calderon, Gloria Patricia Calderon Buitrago, Ruben C. Calderon and wife, Milana Perez Calderon and Hector F. Calderon and wife, Peggy Calderon; her six treasured grandchildren, Carlos Calderon Lopez, Jorge Calderon Lopez, Margarita Calderon Lopez, Sasha Calderon Lopez, Daniele Calderon and Isabelle P. Calderon; four precious great grandchildren, Catherine E. Calderon Lopez, Madelyn A. Calderon, Enrique Calderon and Rosalba Calderon; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Mrs. Delfina B. Calderon will be laid to rest in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405 at a later date by the family.
