Elizabeth belovedly known as "Betty" or "Mimi" Haydon Sullivan's Obituary
Elizabeth Haydon Sullivan belovedly known as "Betty" or "Mimi" passed away peacefully on July 27, 2014 at a local hospital with her daughter, Meghan and good friend, Sam Marks by her bedside. Betty was born on May 28, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to her eagerly awaiting parents, the late Mr. George Lloyd Haydon and the late Mrs. Mary Larue (nee Boone) Haydon. Betty moved to the Boynton Beach area ten years ago from Framingham, Massachusetts. Prior to moving to the Boynton Beach area to retire in the warm South Florida Sun, Betty worked in the Real Estate Industry as an Independent Realtor for many years. She loved to Golf, and pleasure cruise the Eastern Carribean and Mexico on vacations. Betty was a very lively, vivacious Lady, never settling for the ordinary but always seeking the extraordinary life's adventure. She loved to treat and entertain her family and friends to good food, great fun and social intercourse. Betty loved her grandchildren they were her diamonds in the rough, but she knew that she could make them shine given enough time and energy to see it through. She also liked the real sparkles and didn't mind showing her display of gems on her hand, wrist or about her neckline. She was well known for her "over the top parties" that her and her beloved husband, John L. Sullivan were known for throwing. John L. "Sully" Sullivan had prepared her place as a guest at the "Lord's Banquet Table in Heaven" and he has been awaiting her arrival since January 11, 1999. She is now walking on streets of gold, wearing a beautiful golden Sun Dress lavished with the heavens most precious stones, dining with the "King of Kings" and "Host of Hosts" and telling Jesus and her beloved John all of the things that have happened here on Earth since their departure. Betty will be forever loved and honored by her children, Elizabeth Gilmore and her husband, Doug of Middletown, Rhode Island, Meghan Roach and her husband, Tom of Rolesville, North Carolina and George Sullivan and his fiancee', Alanna of Boston, Massachusetts; her five treausred and adored grandchildren, Caroline Roach, Abigail Roach, Hannah Roach, Haydon Gilmore and Ryan Gilmore; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and close friends. The family will Celebrate her Life on Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Eugene J. McCarthy & Sons Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St, Framingham, MA 01702, (508) 875-4747.
