All this week Betty was on my mind. I just tried to call her number on my cell, it had been a little less than a year since I spoke to her and was getting ready to send out her Christmas card..no answer and decided to look up her name...maybe she moved. I called her Liz, we already had a "Betty" when we worked together and well than it became a habit and have always called her Liz. I am saddened that we won't be able to chat on the phone. She was a special lady...so much fun and always helping others. I am 61..much younger than her...however I loved her spirit and fun loving ways. She loved her family whom she always spoke about..and I know how much she missed Al and her sister whom she cared for so many years. I commended her for being involved at her assisted living center and making others feel welcome and comfortable...she honorable. I am praying she did not pass from covid..I know she had a lung disease. I'll miss our conversations Liz...and all the fun we did have together years ago when we worked . I know you are in a better place with no pain and discomfort..reunited with your Al... Love you my friend! Donna Kurtz, Columbus NJ

Met Betty in 2006 on a part-time job. We became friends and soon after, she treated me like family. Very fond memories of a trip to the Poconos with Tonilynn and Betty. We had a great time and lots of laughs.
She will be missed.

Betty and I were introduced because of Special Olympics bowling. Tonilynn and my daughter were very active bowlers rarely missing a practice. We both became coaches for our Glo-Worms team. Our friendship deepened because of similar needs and experiences - group home placements of handicapped family, we rode out a hurricane together. We spoke on the phone but my last in person visit with Betty was in January. We did something we both loved....we went out for lunch and then went to Hollywood Beach where we sat along the boardwalk people watching and just enjoying looking out at the ocean. I will miss my friend. Love you. RIP. My deepest condolences to her family.
