ERNEST PALUMBO's Obituary
Palumbo, Ernest (Ernie) age 83 after a short illness passed away February 13, 2014. Ernie is singing in the heavenly chorus and teaching the angles his rendition of "My Way". He was born in Philadelphia PA to Eugene and Catherine Palumbo. After schooling he spent a year in active service in the Army 82nd Airborne Division and eight years in the Army Reserve. After the army, he spent two years with the Cardinals Class A Baseball organization. Back in Philadelphia he formed his own construction corporation and for 20 years built custom homes and commercial buildings. A serious illness led him into the restaurant business and "Ernie Palumbo's
Supper Club" in Bucks County PA which became his passion. He sang every night with his house band. Produced a record of his songs in 1976 still on the market and entertained everyone he met. He and his wife Dee relocated to Palm Beach in 1980.
He leaves his grieving family to cherish his memory. His loving wife of 54 years Dee, who spent every joyful moment of a very full life by his side. Two sons of whom he was very proud; Paul with wife Cindy and son Will who live in Ohio; Larry who was his golfing buddy lives in Palm Beach county; Grandchildren Michael, Julie and Jaclyn and their mother Tish Palumbo and great grandson Koa; Brother Amedeo (Isolina); Len and Ceil Kohl of NC and many extended family members in Philadelphia, NC and NY.
Ernie was an avid golfer, we wish him green fairways as he brought us great joy in a life well spent. A memorial service will be held at a later date at South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, arrangements by Palm Beach Memorial Park in Lantana.
