Esther Louise Sova's Obituary
Esther Louise Sova, (“Midge”) 89, of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away on December 4, 2023. Esther was born March 6, 1934 in Oswego, New York to Gladys and Raymond Sova. She lived and worked in Illinois, as well, for a number of years. In the 1960’s she moved to Palm Beach County. She worked for RCA for many years and eventually started her own business working as a small business owner in Palm Beach and Atlantis. Her retirement came in 2008.
She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, FL. Esther liked to play a mean game of Rummikub and was a wiz at Bingo. Her many friends at Cresthaven Villas, in West Palm Beach, where she resided for many years, will vouch for her competitive and fun nature. Esther loved to cook and she had many a saught after secret recipes. She was no stranger to the dance floor and loved to listen and dance to a local band, Cricklewood.
Esther possessed a keen sense of humor and sharp wit. Her heart of gold attracted many friends. She was a caring and loving mother, grandparent, friend and neighbor.
Esther is survived by her son, Robert Buske of Port St. Lucie, FL, a daughter, Pam (Asa) Holbrook of Lowville, NY, granddaughters Heather (Joseph) Gallagher of Castorland, NY, Krystal Quimby (fiancée Kyle Ricciardi) of Port St. Lucie, FL, grandsons Heath (Catherine) Holbrook, Robert (Kailyn) Buske, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her dear friend, James McManus.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Usry and Raymond Sova; her sister, Mae Rose DeGroff, her brother, Francis Sova and her son, Morris Hunter.
