Eugen J. Fekete's Obituary
Eugen Fekete was born on December 8, 1939 in Covasna, Romania to Ida & Imre Fekete.
In 1960 while attending the Seventh-day-Adventist Church in Brasov, Eugene met a young lady named Irina. Two years later on September 23, 1962 they were married and over the years had three children. In February 1985 the Fekete family decided to immigrate to the United States, arriving in New York City where they lived for two years before moving to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. From Fort Lauderdale they moved to West Palm Beach, Florida where he lived since.
Eugen was a man of wisdom; he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was actively involved in the church. He was an avid photographer, even developing his own pictures. He was also a great craftsman, building custom furniture; he took great pride in his work and was very dedicated in everything he did. On August 16, 2008, Eugen’s beloved wife Irina ended her fight with cancer, leaving behind Eugene after 46 years of marriage along with his children. The following year, Eugen met Anna, filling the void in his life and soon they were married on November 24, 2009 and continued to live in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. On October 5, 2014 Eugen ended his fight with cancer and for a little while he leaves behind his wife of four and a half years, Anna Szakaly; a son, Jeno Fekete and his wife Yorleni Fekete; daughters, Jennifer Fabian and her husband Attila Fabian and Ildiko Heidi Kish and her husband Albert Kish; four grandchildren, Rebeka Kish, Edward Kish, Melinda Kish and Sofia Fekete; brothters, Laci Fekete and Béla Fekete of Romania, and numerous other relatives and close friends. Friends and Family will gather on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM to visit and pay respects at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of West Palm Beach, 6300 Summit Boulevard, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415, (561) 689-5444. A Celebration of Life Service to commemorate his life will commence at 11:00 AM at the First Seventh Day Adventist Church of West Palm Beach with Pastor Stephen Stewart officiating the service. Christian Rites and Entombment will follow in Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 585-6444.
