George Haick's Obituary
George Haick age 87 of West Palm Beach, Florida was called home on October 25, 2014 to join his beloved wife of sixty years, Mrs. Margaret Haick; whom has been waiting for his arrival into Heaven since June 21st of 2011. George was born on February 1, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to his late Father, Louis Haick and his late Mother, Lulu (nee Bassel) Haick. George worked for forty three years with the Pitney Bowes Company and part time at the Palm Beach Kennel Club for forty three years. He was a former member of the Lake Worth Elks, the American Legion Post #2007 in West Palm Beach, and a member of the Animal Rescue League of Palm Beach County and the A.S.P.C.A. George served his Country with Pride and Honor during the World War II Era in the United States Navy and he was awarded the Asiatic Pacific Ribbon with 2 Stars, the Victory Ribbon, the American Theater Ribbon and the Combat Aircrew Insignia with 3 Stars. He also took the Honor Flight with his grandson, JR to see all of the War Memorials throughout Washington, DC dedicated to the memory of those who gave life and limb in pursuit of keeping the American Dream alive. George devoted his life to his family and friends! He will be forever honored and loved by his two daughters, Linda Young and her husband, Duane Young and Cathy Spinney and her husband, George Spinney; his four adored grandchildren, Lisa Webb, JR Lawson, Justyn Spinney and Sarah Spinney; eight precious great grandchildren, Sydney, Molly, Trenton, Jake, Claire, Charley, Samuel and Josef; and his loved brother-in-law, Alfred Ferrer and his wife, Jean Ferrer of Virginia. Family and friends will gather 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Family Church Downtown at First Baptist, 1101 South Flagler Drive, West Palm Beach, Florida 33401, (561) 650-7400 to Celebrate the Life of Mr. George Haick.
