George Theodore Nicholar, 84, of Lake Worth, Florida, formerly of Hempstead, New York and Ormond Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2025. Born on April 14, 1941, in New York, George lived a life marked by integrity, service, and deep devotion to his family.
George proudly served as a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office detective for 25 years before retiring. Following his career in law enforcement, he and his beloved wife retired to Ormond Beach, Florida, where they spent 21 wonderful years together.
George was known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and the quiet way he made others feel cared for. He cherished time with his loved ones and found joy in life’s simple moments. His presence brought comfort and laughter, and he will always be remembered for the love and steadiness he brought into the lives of those around him.
George is survived by his loving wife, Beverley Nicholar; his daughter, Tammy, and son-in-law, Tim; his two grandchildren, Jay and Lara; and his great-grandson, Zane. He is also survived by his nephew, Bill, and Bill’s wife, Jamie.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will forever remain a source of strength, comfort, and inspiration.
