Gerardo Nazianzeno's Obituary
On Friday, January 22nd 2021, Gerardo Nazianzeno, loving husband, father of three children, and grandfather of four grandchildren, passed away at the age of 90. Gerardo was born on January 8th, 1931 in Naples, Italy, He was a shoemaker, and he decided to move to Caracas, Venezuela to create a better life for him and his soon to be family. On June 22nd 1958 he married Enrichetta DeSimone. They raised two daughters, Lucy and Elsie, and one son, Joe. The five of them would immigrate to America in the 1970s.
Gerardo loved to watch sports, especially soccer and horse racing. He was an incredibly hard worker, and he continued to work as an elevator operator after he retired from shoemaking. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and relaxing in the Florida sun whenever he was not in Brooklyn. His family was very important to him. Above all, he was a very kind man, and he treated everyone he met with compassion and respect.
He is survived by his wife Enrichetta, his three children, Lucy, Elsie, and Joe, and his grandchildren, Danielle, Amanda, Samantha, Joey, and David. Flowers or donations may be sent to 2380 SW 14th Ave Boynton Beach, FL 33436.
