Harry Leroy Latham's Obituary
Harry Leroy Latham born November 25, 1921 passed away on September 9, 2015. He was the oldest son of Lee J. Latham and Lily Conaway Latham. Harry had 3 younger sisters and 2 brothers. Two sisters preceeded him in death. The Lathams lived in Ohio. Harry is survived by his wife Alice Hurdle Latham whom he married July 1948. To this union 3 children were born: Gloria Latham, Buford, Georgia; Larry Latham, Loxahatchee, Florida; and Kevin Latham, Lake Clarke Shores, Florida. Two granddaughters, Jessica Taylor-Lewis and husband, Keven Lewis and Jennifer Hanson and husband Joshua Hanson and two great-granddaughters, Jessica Taylor-Lewis and husband, Keven Lewis and Jennifer Hanson and husband Joshua Hanson and two great-granddaughters, Brinley Elizabeth Hanson and Adelaide Lily Lewis live in Georgia.
Harry's family were farmers in Ohio. When World War II called, Harry left crop farming to serve in the Army Air Corps for 3 years.
He then stayed with the aircraft industry, retiring from 37 years with General Electric and Pratt Whitney Aircraft in West Palm Beach.
Harry was a devoted husband and father, loved and respected by all who knew him. As a very genteel person he was always desiring to be an encourager, especially to young people. Harry had a great love for his Lord, the Bible and God's people.
He will particulary be missed by the congregation of the Church of the Way in Sebring.
Memorials can be made to the Church of the Way and Little Lambs Ministry of Sebring.
