Helen Rimar's Obituary
Helen “Helene” Rimar, 91, of Boynton Beach passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 9, 2018 at 8:54PM. Helen was born on January 5, 1927 in Edison, NJ to Julia and George Gulya . She graduated from Muhlenberg Hospital School of Nursing in 1947 and received an Associated Degree in Management and Psychology in 1950. In 1981 she graduated from Everitt’s School of Floristry and opened her own Florist in East Brunswick, NJ called “Helene’s Florist and Gift Shop”.
In 1987 she retired and purchased a home with her husband Steve in Leisureville in Boynton Beach, Fl. She became active in her church, Holy Apostles Byzantine Church, as well as many clubs in Leisureville. She made many friends and enjoyed playing Pinochle. She lived in the same house and remained married to Steve for 67 years.
Helen is predeceased by her loving husband Stephen, who passed away in July 2018. Helen is survived by her daughter Julieann (Lois) of Lantana and her son, Stephen III (Joan) of Hamden, Ct. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Liz (Tim) and Christine (John) of New York and Kelli (George) of Orlando. In addition, she is survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as many friends in the Boynton Beach area.
Family and friends are invited to visitation and remembrance on Sunday, November 18th from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Fl. Ph: (561) 585-6444. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 19th at 11:00 AM, at the Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home followed by burial in the Mausoleum on the grounds. All are invited to join us for a celebration of her life at Olive Garden, 1001 N. Congress Ave in Boynton Beach after the service.
