Helen Vaughan Dumas' Obituary
HELEN VENEY VAUGHAN DUMAS Age 92, of Hypoluxo, FL, passed away on May 15, 2012. She was born in Ancon, Panama Canal Zone in 1920 and has lived in Florida since 1947. After graduating from Parrott High School in Parrott, GA, she attended Georgia State University and the Draughon School of Commerce in Atlanta, GA. She was in the first graduating class of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL in 1965 and taught in Palm Beach County Public Schools for many years. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Morgan D. Vaughan in 1977 and her second husband, Raymond Dumas in 1996. She was also preceded by her two brothers, Marshall and John Veney and one sister, Louise Hawthorne. She is survived by one son, Thomas M. Vaughan and one daughter, Lou Segee; grandson, Alex Segee and granddaughter, Carly Williams (along with her husband, Andrew and their daughter, Peyton). Helen is also survived by two Step-sons-in law, Raymond Dumas, Jr. and his wife Carol of St. Simons Is. Ga.,and Stephen Dumas of Jupiter, Fl. She is also survived by two Step-Grandchildren, Noelle Dumas of Brunswick, GA. and Raymond Dumas, III of Brooklyn, N.Y. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Bruenner (along with her husband, William). A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19,2012, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Blvd. Lantana, FL 33462.
