Hogarth Rabel's Obituary
Hogarth Rabel was a devoted husband, father, uncle and friend. He loved all his surroundings as if they were family. Nothing gave him more joy than to be around them. He was a proud member of the “ Temple des Trois Roses”. He is survived by his wife Solange T. Rabel, his children: Sem H. Rabel and Rose-Cham Rabel Calderon; his grandchildren: Japhet and Joseph Calderon. His brothers and sisters: Ninon, Evelyn, Duranton, Jean, Silva, Ramses, Dayouse, Ermine, Laure, Daniel, Pascal, Gaston, Enna, Reita, Anne-Marie, Monette, Solange, Renaud, Gervais, Lumnie, Livie, Camille, Emma and Rigaud. Hogarth had many nephews, nieces, countless cousins and extended family members. He is pre-deceased by his mother Amerita Cadet and his father: Marius Rabel. Hogarth Rabel was born in Grand Gosier on September 10th, 1937. He was the youngest of his mother’s four children. He met is wife Solange 60 years ago, they dated for 8 years and got married on Decemer 7th 1968. After he married Solange, his family expanded with the in-laws: Daniella, Dupre, Alice, Renee Djessica, Erick, Rosiane, Myrtho, Gerald, Memores, Marie Josette, Etzer, Jasmin just to name a few and many nephews, nieces and cousins . A few other family members who loved him dearly and cared for him: Ariane, Felliane, Rosemonde, Jean Audan and Wislene. One of his favorite aphorisms that he made up himself was: “Fè byen tout tan ou kapab, tout kote ou kapab, ak tout moun ou kapab, justan ou pa kapab anko” - “Help everyone whenever you can, wherever you are, until you can’t anymore”. Hogarth loved gardening; he grew all kind of plants for tea in his backyard. He believed in traditional medicine. Hogarth/Papi/Ton Hogarth/Papi Ga will be greatly missed by all of those he left behind. We are not saying goodbye to him, we are saying: “Until we meet again”. Hogarth was a wonderful & caring person who will be greatly missed.

Ses frères et sœurs sont : Ninon, Evelyn, Duranton, Jean, Silva, Ramses, Dayouse, Hermine, Laure, Daniel, Pascal, Gaston, Enna, Reita, Anne-Marie, Monette, Solange, Renaud, Gervais, Lumnie, Livie, Camille, Emma et Rigaud. Hogarth avait de nombreux neveux et nièces et d'innombrables cousins et membres de la famille élargie. Il est prédécédé par sa mère: Amerita Cadet et son père: Marius Rabel. Hogarth Rabel est né à Grand Gosier, le 10 septembre 1937. Il était le plus jeune des quatre enfants de sa mère. Il a rencontré sa femme Solange il y a 60 ans, ils sont sortis ensemble pendant 8 ans et se sont mariés le 7 décembre 1968. Après avoir épousé Solange, sa famille s'est agrandie avec les beaux-parents, ses beaux-frères & belles-soeurs: Daniella, Dupré, Alice, Renée, Djessica, Erick, Rosiane, Myrtho, Gerald, Memores, Marie-Josette, Etzer, Jasmin pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns et plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines. Quelques autres membres de la famille qui l'aimaient tendrement et prenaient soin de lui: Ariane, Felliane, Rosemonde, Jean Audan et Wislene. L'un de ses aphorismes préférés qu'il a composé lui-même était : « Fè byen tout tan out kapab, tout kote ou kapab, ak tout moun ou kapab, justan ou pa kapab anko » - « Aidez tout le monde quand vous le pouvez, où que vous soyez, jusqu'à ce que vous ne puissiez plus" Hogarth adorait le jardinage ; il cultivait toutes sortes de plantes pour le thé dans son jardin. Il croyait en la médecine traditionnelle. Hogarth/Papi/Ton Hogarth/Papi Ga manquera beaucoup à tous ceux qu'il a laissé derrière lui. Nous ne lui disons pas au revoir, nous disons : « Jusqu'à ce que nous nous revoyons». Hogarth était une personne exceptionnelle, merveilleuse et attentionnée qui nous manquera beaucoup.
