Hyacinth Bosworth-Maddalone's Obituary
Hyacinth affectionately known as Icyneth was born December 3, 1936 in Devon, Manchester Jamaica WI. Her parents were Myrtle and John Holness. She passed away at Delray Medical Center.
In her early twenties Hyacinth migrated from Jamaica WI to New York where she worked for many years at B Altman and Co. and later worked at Lord and Taylor.
She met and married Robert Bosworth and from this union came Christopher her only child, who was the light of her life. After many years she met and married Peter Maddalone. They both retired and moved from New York to Delray Beach, where they lived for more than twenty years.
Within a short period of time she was predeceased by her husband Robert, her parents and her son Christopher. Four years after losing Christopher her husband Peter also passed away. With all her loved ones passing, Hyacinth managed to stay focused even under such difficult circumstances.
Hyacinth was loved by everyone, her family and friends, her church family at St. Mary Anglican where she was an active member for many years and her friends at FAU Wellness Center. She also managed to stay in close contact with many of her friends some of whom she knew for over fifty years.
Hyacinth had a beautiful personality and always tried to help especially those who were in need. She was a family person and liked to keep in touch with family. She will be surely missed. She unofficially adopted her cousins and his family who live in Jamaica and treated them as her very own. Her three grandchildren were the apple of her eyes even to her dying day.
Hyacinth is survived by her Grandchildren Adaya, Zachary, Tyler and their mothers. Her step children, her half brothers and sisters, numerous cousins and friends.
