Isai Lartigue's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our cherished Isai Lartigue on March 08, 2025. Isai passed away peacefully at Bethesda Hospital, TrustBridge Hospice, West Palm Beach, Florida after dealing with extended illness. He was 74 years old. Born at Kay-Latigue, Jacmel, Haiti on December 3rd, 1950,
to late Saint-Luc Lartigue and Formosante Lordforde. He was a great and cherished man from his community. After graduation from Normil-Posie, Jacmel, Haiti. He started to be involved in church ministry as a youth president and young preacher of his home church at Kay-Latigue. He left to Port-au-Prince where he first was commissioned as deacon and then became one of the lead pastors and the Elementary school director at Eglise Chrétienne des Rachetes d’Haiti. Isai loved making disciples by leading missionary works almost every Sunday in different areas of Port-au-Prince like Petion-Ville, La-Pleine, and Carrefour.
Later, he married his sweetheart, Anite Richard Lartigue “Nounoune” in March 1980. While Nounoune was a kindergarten teacher, Isai was very involved in his community and loved for his cherished heart. He got very involved in church leadership and enjoyed encouraging people among him to serve the LORD and give the best of themselves. In 1986, he left Haiti and came to the USA with the same passion for the LORD ministry and focused himself on being part of church leadership by being the Lead pastor and eventually a retired preacher at Glory Baptist church in WPB. Isai was a man of respect and honor in his community for his love for others and dedication to serve all through his preaching, counseling, and encouragement. As a grandpa, he always enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and is well-cherished for his love and encouragement in their success and joy. He cannot be replaced in our heart, as a family.
Isai is survived by his spouse, Anite Richard Lartigue; four daughters, Betchine Lartigue Fortuné, Schamma Lartigue Merilien, Kenia Lartigue Jean, Ketia Lartigue Del-sol; nine grandchildren: Betchaëlle Anne-Bertha Fortuné, Coralie Marie-Ange Fortuné, Nelschaedah Gaelle Merilien, Kengy Haardy Lartigue Jean, Schnelkah Grace Merilien, Knaalgy Shaï Lartigue Jean, Kei-Annagie Maleïkka Lartigue Jean, Naira Lartigue, and Faith Gemimah Merilien; his nephew and nieces Romitha, Joceslyne, Nahama, Loucecite, Lourdie, Ruben, Micale, Luciene, Florette Lartigue, …. He was preceded in death by his brothers Maxene, Luc, Pelissier Lartigue and sisters Elourde and Vanise Lartigue; and niece Kerline, Kadette, Nini Lartigue."
A memorial service will be held this Friday, March 14th at 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Glory Baptist Church. A morning service will be help at Belvedere Baptist church this Saturday March 15th, 2025, with family visitation at 0900-1000 and the service at 1000- 1130 AM. The burial is to follow at 12 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family request that memorials and donation to be made to the ministry at Glory Baptist Church. The family thanks Glory Baptist church for his unconditional love and support. The family also thanks TrustBridge hospice of WPB for the care of Isai on his final days.
