Mr. James Knabe Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. James Knabe, Jr. age 88 of Knoxville, Tennessee formerly of Atlantis, Florida passed away on February 7, 2015. James was born in Effingham, Illinois on August 26, 1926 to Mr. Harry Knabe and Mrs. Gertrude Knabe. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during the WWII Era. James was a member and communicant of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, FL and the Atlantis Country Club in Atlantis, FL. He worked with Shell Oil Company for thirty five years as a Machinist. James leaves behind to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Carolyn A. Knabe; three loved children, Jane L. Hall her husband, James W. Hall, Robert Knabe and Linda Knabe who preceded him in death in 1990; three adored grandchildren, Rebecca Hall, Amanda Crouse her husband, Matthew Crouse and Douglas Hall; two admired sisters, Martha Repking and Genevieve Beunker; and one precious great grandson, Cooper Crouse. James was also preceded in death by his brother, Albert Knabe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 W. Lantana Road, Lantana, FL 33462. Interment will follow in Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL. Donations may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 W.
