James Leslie Perkins' Obituary
James Leslie Perkins, age 65 of Lantana, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022. He formerly resided in Upton, Massachusetts before moving to Lantana, Florida in 1980. He was the first baby born on New Year's Day January 1st 1957 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Jimmy was the Son of Leslie Perkins of Lantana, Florida and Brother of Patty (Perkins) Rice of Lake Worth Beach, Florida. His mother Jane (Nordborg) Perkins and Sister Rebecca (Perkins) Winters preceded him in death. He leaves behind several friends and relatives across the Country.
He worked as a carpenter for many years in the construction industry. There was nothing Jim couldn’t fix, repair or build by hand.
He enjoyed many hobbies such as playing his guitar, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and fishing. Jimmy was an active member of the Pack & Paddle Club of West Palm Beach, Palm Beach Coin Club, and The Florida Metal Detecting Club. He also enjoyed selling and collecting antiques. He was very devoted to his faith and active in the church community
