Jay Taylor Gervasio's Obituary
Loving son, Jay Taylor Gervasio, 24, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2020. Jay was a very compassionate and caring person. He always helped friends and family with anything they needed. Jay was involved with many charitable activities including painting houses in Belle Glade and performing outreach programs for the community. He participated in the Rescue Atlanta Mission Trip in the summer of 2011. It was a powerful time of ministry for the inner city homeless of Atlanta. There he participated in helping to feed and clothe the homeless. In addition to these special trips, Jay was involved in weekly and monthly projects around the church, including helping to facilitate weekly youth service. Jay also volunteered and assisted in the Forgotten Soldiers Outreach Program.
Jay attended Lake Worth Christian and was a member of the Cross Country Team. He attended Boynton Beach High School his senior year and graduated. Later, he attended Palm Beach State College. He was a member of the Boca Raton Junior Buccaneers High School Rugby Team. He received a black belt in Russian Mixed Martial Arts and Self Defense. Jay was an accomplished guitar player and loved to draw.
He leaves behind parents, Cynthia and Dean Gervasio, that love and miss him more than words can express. He is survived by Geneva Hines; son, Giovanni Dean Gervasio; stepdaughter, Paislee Coffindaffer; brother, Charlie Boggs; sister, Savanna Hines and many loving family members and friends.
Jay touched many people at such a young age. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
