Jeannette L. (nee Levey) Hug's Obituary
Jeannette L. (nee Levey) Hug age 95 of Lantana, Florida passed away peacefully with her daughter, Marilyn Hansen at her bedside. Jeannette was born on January 16, 1919 in New York City, New York to the late Mrs. Maude (nee Hammer) Levey and the late Mr. Leo Levey. Jeannette moved to the South Florida area in 1959 coming from her hometown of Queens, New York with her family. Jeannette worked in the Jewelry Business for a number of years as a Sales Associate. She loved Arts & Crafts including Knitting, Crochet and Jewelry Design, and also Painting in Oils various Nature Scenes. But her greatest love was spending quality time with her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and donated time to the special needs programs for children; since Jeannette has a daughter that requires special attention. She was always giving a lot of time and talents to help others less fortunate. Jeannette was a Communicant and Devout Catholic, who attended Mass at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, Florida when she was able to attend. Jeannette was greeted at the "Gates of Heaven" by her husband, Leroy C. Hug, who has been waiting for her appearance since 2009 and her daughter, Diane Marie Hug, who entered Heaven in 1946. She was also greeted by her mother, Maude (nee Hammer) Levey, her father, Leo Levey, her step-father, Valentine Bartelmes, a grandson, Jonathan Wallace and a great grandson, Gabriel Michael Hansen rejoining the circle of family in Heaven. She will be forever loved and honored by her children, Roy Hug and his wife, Dee Hug of Lake Shasta, California, Janet Hug of Lantana, Florida and Marilyn Hug and her husband, Ed Hansen of Lantana, Florida; her ten adored grandchildren; her precious eleven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; one special niece and two admired nepews; and a host of other family members and close friends. Family and friends will gather and pay respects on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 586-1237. A Catholic Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2014 in the Chapel of Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home with Father Rick Riccardi the Celebrant. Catholic Burial Rites will follow in the Palm Beach Memorial Park Cemetery, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 585-6444.
