Joan S Johnson's Obituary
Joan Sieminski Johnson died on April 1 in Boynton Beach, FL. She was a long-time resident of Monmouth County, NJ primarily of Spring Lake where she was a 40+ year member of St Catherine’s – St Margaret’s parish. Upon her 1953 graduation from Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, she married Bruce A. Johnson, an executive with Triangle Industries, Holmdel, NJ. Throughout Bruce’s career she was his supportive partner accompanying him on many international business trips to the Caribbean, Asia and Europe.
Joan was a 45+ year member of the Spring Lake Bathing and Tennis Club where she spent the summers of her youth. She joyfully introduced her children to similar, wonderful summers and took great pride as both developed into noted tennis players. Joan and Bruce fulfilled their lifelong dream of retiring to FL in 1980, and there she resided for more than 40 years. She was a devoted wife of 63 years prior to his passing in 2016.
Joan’s life was one of pride in and devotion to her family whom she greatly loved. She was predeceased by her sister, Judith and a daughter, Judith. She leaves her sisters Jane Maher, Joy Wrightson and her brother, Henry Sieminski III, her son Stephen (Alison), her daughter Cynthia Bruckmann, grandchildren Stephanie Rodriguez (Ryan), Will Bruckmann (Melissa), Paul Johnson (Heather) and Scott Bruckmann (Cecily) and great grandchildren Luke, Riley and Jacob Johnson and Isabella Bruckmann. She also leaves numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their extended families. We take comfort in her peaceful passing and her joy in the hereafter. We also know that she will give Bruce (and others) a hug and kiss for all of us.
The family requests charitable remembrances be directed to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation at www.tbfdn.org/spring.
