John Adams' Obituary
John Adams, loving father to Richard and Andreu Adams, younger brother to Suzanne (Adams) Woodie and Ronald Adams, avid sports fan and mucic lover, died on December 23, 2019, at the age of 54.
Born on March 16th, 1965, John was the son of Robert Adams and Joan (Sheridan) Adams. He was a graduate of Norristown Area High School in Norristown, Pennsylvania class of 1983. John always had a way with words which lead him into a career in sales but he was always at his happiest playing baseball, he loved the game. His father Robert was so proud that John was such a good athlete. He described him as his “five-tool player” (hit, run, throw, catch and totally into the game). He played short-stop and was used as a dangerous lead-off switch-hitter who could turn a single into a double, or more because he ran with such abandonment. John always made his league-wide All-Star teams. He played youth Little League, American Legion and even at the college level, then later coached his own two boys in Little League. He continued to play the game he loved well into his thirties.
John certainly lived his life with abandonment as well. His emotions were larger than life and he wore them with passion and intensity. He was not afraid to put himself out there. He lived life deeply. John had a presence that let you know he was in the room with you. One of this favorite song lyrics was Neil Young’s . . .“It’s better to burn out than to fade away”.
John lived with physical pain for far too many years. May he be at peace now basking in everlasting light and love.
