Ortuno, Jorge's Obituary
After living a fulfilling and joyful life, George Ortuno passed on to be with our Heavenly Lord on August 2, 2024 at age 84. He resided in Boynton Beach, Florida.
George will be remembered fondly for his caring and welcoming nature, his love of music, his passion for adventure and his endearing affection for his family.
George was born in Bolivia, on January 19, 1940. As a dedicated patriot to his beloved country, he served in the Bolivian Air Force. His love of music sparked the discovery of his talent to play the guitar and piano. His passion for adventure and exploration inspired his desire to move to the United States. George’s year long and arduous journey to America started on foot traveling up South America’s eastern coast.
His determination and perseverance paid off handsomely when after shortly arriving, he met the love and romance of his life. George met Wilma Correa during her Senior year in High School in New York. It was love at first sight during a party at her grandmother’s home in the Bronx, New York. For fifty-five years, their marital path would be George’s greatest life adventure filled with love, family, children, grandchildren, travel, great food and music. George will be remembered by his friends for the fun times they enjoyed watching his love of golf. His creativity and keen eye for detail made him also known for inventing ideas for quick fixes around the home and beyond.
Beloved family members who survived him include beloved wife, Wilma Ortuno, son George Ortuno, daughter Rosalina Ortuno, and grandchildren Alex Ortuno and Aolani Perez.
