in honor of Jose.
In my classroom I have a framed parrot puzzle that Jose glued together. My drop out prevention kids at Lantana Middle did a 500 piece puzzle and when they finished there were missing pieces. Jose cut the box to create substitutes for the 3 missing pieces and then glued it together. When I asked him why he did that, he told me that most of the kids in my class had never finished what they started. He was proud of them for working together and finishing the challenging puzzle. He honored them by completing it. To thank him, we gave him his favorite snack - graham crackers!
