Mr. Joseph J. Burque's Obituary
Mr. Joseph J. Burque age 99 of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on May 11, 2015. Joseph was born on February 7, 1916 in West Bridgewater, Massachusets to Mr. Peirre Burque and Mrs. Josephine (nee Bisson) Burque. Joseph moved to the Palm Beach County area in 1957 from New England and settled in the Metropolitan area with his wife and children. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army Aircorp as a First Lieutenant Pilot. Joseph loved to travel with his wife in his motor home and actually saw all fifty states during his lifetime including Hawaii and Alaska. He also liked to go on Cruise Ships enjoying the sights and sounds while traveling abroad. Joseph was a very headstrong and stubborn man; "his word was his bond and he meant what he said". Joseph was also a devout Catholic and loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Joseph was met in Heaven by his wife of seventy years, Alice A. (nee Guimond) Burque, who has been waiting for his arrival since January 1, 2012. Survivors include his loving and devoted daughter, Janice Intoppa and her husband, Lon, Sr.; five treasured grandchildren, Tammy Riehle, Dawn Alexander, Stephen Intoppa, Lon Intoppa, Jr. and John Intoppa; five adored great grandchildren, Lysbeth "Libby" Riehle, Danielle Riehle, Johnathan Riehle, Evin Bowman and Luke Intoppa; and two precious great great grandchildren, Logan Harris and Madisyn Harris; and a host of close friends. Burial will take place in the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449, (561) 649-6489. The family will be having a Private Ceremony at a later date following the interment.
