Joseph Giardina's Obituary
Giuseppe Joseph “Joe” Giardina, age 74, peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 21, 2024, in Port St. Lucie, Florida, surrounded by family, with his wife holding his hand. He was born to Aurelio and Rosalia Giardina in Bisacquino, Sicily, Italy, on March 14, 1950.
All who knew him recognized his profound love for Christ and his beautiful wife, Rosetta. He was ordained a minister in 1977 and served as a pastor in Syracuse, New York, and Melrose Park, Illinois. As a gifted minister of the gospel, he led many to Jesus Christ and reached thousands by speaking on the local radio and television stations in Syracuse. Joe was also a songwriter and a poet. However, his passion was preaching the word of God and singing to glorify God’s name. Joe was a great example of a man who believed, shared, and lived the word of God.
He is remembered with love by his wife of 52 years, Rosetta; his siblings Cosimo (Louisa), John (Wendy), Vince, and Rosa (John); his in-laws Cathy, Teresa (Pasquale), Tony (Domenica), Joe, Antonia (Domenico), Frank (Francesca), Rita (John), Domenico (Daniella), Guiseppina (Sebastian), John (Chris), Louisa (Luca); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Joe was blessed to be surrounded by his wife and family that supported him throughout his life.
Joe’s celebration of life will be held at Palm Beach Memorial (3691 North Seacrest Blvd., Lantana, FL 33462) at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024, with the viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm. For those attending the service in person, please wear something bright (not black).
