Julia Maldonado's Obituary
Julia Maldonado age 92 of West Palm Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on August 14, 2014. Julia was born on August 15, 1921 in Maniti, Puerto Rico to the late Mr. Epifanio Rivera and the late Mrs. Andrea Gonzalez. Julia migrated to the United States settling in the Trenton, New Jersey area for a number of years before moving and settling in the West Palm Beach, Florida area. Julia was a kind and generous soul; she was always helping those who were less fortunate. She also was a strong willed and firm minded woman and was the Matriarch of her family. She loved spending quality time with her family; especially spending time with all of her grandchildren and there was a multitude of them to use up her spare time. She loved to work the earth with her hands and you could find her working in her garden growing sumptuous fruits and vegetables and planting beautiful flowering plants to brighten up her home. Her other great love was her faith and she practiced her faith at the local Pentecostal Church. Julia was loved by everyone that ever met her and ever grew to know her; she had many children as well as adults that thought the world of her because of her kind and gentle ways. She will be forever loved and honored by her six children and two step-children, Gladys Laureano, Lydia Rodriguez, Julia Nunez, Olga Wichi, Rosa Bruno and Jose Maldonado, Juan Maldonado, Eufastino Maldonado,the late Hector Maldonado, the late Trinitiva and Marina Maldonado; her admired sister, Elisa Perez; her twenty nine grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends. Family and friends will gather at the Ledford Funeral Home, 929 South Clinton Avenue, Trenton, New Jersey 08611, (609) 393-4567 to honor her Eternal Memory. Burial will follow in Colonial Memorial Park, 3039 South Broad Street, Hamilton, New Jersey 08610.
