Kenneth L. Kovacs' Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth L. Kovacs announces his sudden passing on Thursday, October, 25, 2018 at the age of 69 years. Kenny will be lovingly remembered by his sister Barbara A. Browne of Cherry Hill, NJ; his nieces Donna Heimlich and her husband Keith of Turnersville, NJ; Lauren Leahey and her husband William of Stratford, NJ; his nephew Scott Browne of Orlando, FL; grand-niece Mallory Heimlich and her husband Bruce Dombrowski and their daughter Amelie; grand-nephews Keith Heimlich, Jr., Christopher Heimlich, Sean Leahey, William Leahey, Jr. and his wife Gabriella and their daughter Olivia. He is also survived by Tony Ferchak, his companion of 9 years, and their beloved French bulldog, Margo.
Ken was a Program Analyst in New York, New York, for the US Army Corps of Engineers, North Atlantic Division for 32 years. He spent most of his life living in Manhattan, until he retired to Fort Lauderdale, FL. He traveled the world throughout his life, first with his late parents, Kenneth and Julia Kovacs, and later in life with friends. Ken often went back to New York City to see plays and visit with his friends. He especially loved to go to hot destinations with sun, sand, and water until he had his own little piece of the beach in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was often seen about town with Margo, his dog, whether it was a store, restaurant, or bar, Ken didn’t care, Margo was coming with him. His infectious smile will forever be remembered.
