Lawrence (Larry) Jacob Lampinen's Obituary
Larry Lampinen, of Lake Worth, Florida, entered eternal life on November 5th, 2024, at age 62. He passed peacefully, full of faith and telling his “Larry jokes”. Larry was born in Hancock, MI to Wesley and Verna Lampinen, and raised in Ashby, MA. He was a hard worker from a young age and got his first job at age 15. After a few construction jobs he settled in the concrete finishing trade.
At age 20, Larry met his wife, Lori Inman, who was visiting New Hampshire. It was love at first sight. They married in Hockinson, Washington on August 27, 1983.They enjoyed 41 years of marriage. In March 1984, he and his wife moved to Lake Worth, FL. where Larry took over Superior Concrete from a friend. Larry and Lori raised five children. For 20 years Larry served the board of Apostolic Lutheran Church in Lake Worth. He also later attended Grace Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Lampinen, his sister Karen Lampinen Aho, his niece Michelle Lampinen, and his parents-in-law Bill and Carole Inman. He is survived by his wife Lori Inman Lampinen, his four sons: Brandon (Karen) Lampinen, of Lake Worth, FL; Craig (Bridget) Lampinen, of Yacolt, WA; Jacob (Scarlet) Lampinen, of Amboy, WA; Jeremy (Stephanie) Lampinen, of Lake Worth, FL; his daughter Katrina (Isaac) Holmgren of Vancouver, WA; and his 11 grandchildren Ethan, Thomas, Lily, Chloe, Jemma, Daphne, Drake, Charlotte, Alexander, Thea, and Phoebe. Also surviving are his mother, Verna Lampinen, of Pasco, WA; his siblings, Cindy(Clyde) Vaillencourt, of New Ipswich, NH; Doug (Connie) Lampinen, of Lake Worth, FL; Mary Lampinen, of Chassell, MI; Sue-Ann (Kim) Mickelson, of Pasco, WA; Steve Lampinen of Okeechobee, FL; John Lampinen, of York, ME; Jim Lampinen, of Okeechobee FL; Sharon (Lance) Matson, of Richland, WA; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins and friends.
Larry is being laid to rest, awaiting the trumpet sound at Palm Beach Memorial Park, 3691 Seacrest Blvd, Lantana, Florida 33462
