I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mangaroo many years ago while playing college basketball with Novelle. I would always make sure I had the opportunity to get some face time with him even though he was there to see his son. He would briefly talk basketball but wanted to know how I was coping. As a shy, quiet young man, whenever I saw Mr. Mangaroo I would go on & on because there was always that sense of genuine concern. He would always leave me with words of wisdom as well as encourage us all to exceed in school. I haven't seen him in over 25 yrs but when I received word of his homegoing it still stunned. To the Mangaroo family, I pray for you all as I know how tight knit you are as a family. Your rock has finished his work here on earth but rest assured he has gone home to get his reward. In my mind, I’m hearing the Lord saying: ‘Welcome good and faithful servant, you couldn’t have done better.’ Bro Mangaroo service to God is defined by Romans 12:1. He presented himself in no less a manner and thus became a living sacrifice in his service to God. I’m sure he’ll receive that crown that Jesus promised to His faithful servants. May God receive him into glory and welcome him to his eternal home. Rest in eternal peace Bro Lennox Mangaroo. We miss you and may God comfort the family.

My family and I will always cherish Elder Mangaroo in our hearts for his kindness, dedication, and faithfulness over the many years.
His encouragement and support propelled us into becoming better men and women. He was a shining light to our family. We will never forget his faithfulness, impartial love and dedication to Believers and all who entered the Sanctuary, Olivet Gospel Assembly at 3900 Dyre Avenue, Bronx, NY. His Christian example was extraordinary.
Oh, the many wonderful memories of times spent fellowshipping and worshipping our Lord Jesus Christ together. Thank God for finished work. God bless you! We love you! You WILL be greatly missed!!
