Lillian "Lulu" Kahn's Obituary
Lillian "Lulu" Kahn age 101 of West Palm Beach, Florida slipped away tranquilly into the eternal ebb of time on August 24, 2014. She was born on June 25, 1913 in New York City, New York to her beloved parents, Mr. Harry Kaminsky and Mrs. Sara Kaminsky. Lillian was one of six siblings and the last remaining until her most recent passing. Lulu as she was so fondly called and remembered by has resided in Century Village for over forty plus years, coming from her hometown of New York City, New York forty years ago. She was a member of Temple Anshei Shalom in West Palm Beach, Florida and a actitve supporter of Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America. Lulu loved to listen and go to the Opera and she was quite the aficionado, she also loved to read various types of literature and loved to play and teach the card game of Bridge. Lulu also loved to work on the New York Times Crossword Puzzle and by the time Sunday rolled around she had completed the answers and she was ready to begin a new Crossword Puzzle; she was inherently knowledgeable and wise. Her eternal memory will be forever honored by her loving and devoted daughter, Hannah Lamberk and her husband, Thomas; her devoted son-in-law, Jay Greenblatt; her treasured grandchildren, Laura Leigh Heit and her husband, Ethan Heit, Lawrence Isaac Lamberk and his wife, Marni Lamberk, Ken Greenblatt and his partner, Peter Walsh, and Steven Greenblatt and his wife, Amanda; and her six precious great grandchildren. Lulu has joined her beloved husband, Louis Kahn who has been waiting for her arrival since November of 1980 and her beloved daughter, Carol Sylvia Greenblatt who has been wating for her arrival since 2010. A Jewish Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 586-1237 with Rabbi Alan Sherman of the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County the officiant. Jewish Burial Rites will follow in Palm Beach Memorial Park Cemetery, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 585-6444.
