Linda Ferrara Summers' Obituary
Linda was born October 25th 1942 to Natalie and Stephen Gilbert in New York City and grew up in Oceanside, NY. Her life in Oceanside revolved around her family, school, friends and temple activities. After graduating Oceanside High School, Linda went to Becker Jr. College in Massachusetts, and shortly thereafter decided her Mrs. was more important than a BA.
In 1961, her wonderful son, Scott, was born. From 1967 to 1985, Linda was a Buyer for Allied and Federated stores. In 1985, she became Owner and Manager of Le Pavilion Lingerie in Lake Worth, FL, which she ran until her retirement. In 1987, Linda met her soulmate Jim Summers of Boynton Beach, FL, and that is when her life really began! Jim and Linda wed in 1991, she retired in 2000, Jim retired in 2002, they purchased a Motor Home and began a fantastic life of traveling the country for many months each year. This was everything she had ever dreamed of her life to be.
Linda is survived by her loving son Scott Ferrara, Daughter-In-Law Cindy, her amazing grandson Jeremy who all live in Eastern Long Island. She is also survived by her loving brother Jim Gilbert and wife Sara (her Seester), and special nephew, Benjamin. She is also survived by Jim's daughter Leigh and a myriad of wonderful Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
