Loreta Maria Grazia Pensenti's Obituary
Loreta Maria Grazia Pensenti, 90, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in the comfort of her home.
Born on September 8, 1935, in Sora, Italy, she was the beloved daughter of Clemente Urbano and Assunta Urbano.
Loreta married the love of her life, Pierino Pensenti, on November 20, 1954, in Sora, Italy. Their relationship was a beautiful blend of devotion, light-hearted teasing, and an unbreakable bond that carried them through over 7 decades together. In 1958, Loreta made the courageous journey to the United States by boat. Later followed by her husband and two sons. She and Pierino built a beautiful life together, settling roots first in Schenectady, New York, and later in West Palm Beach, and Fort Myers, Florida.
Loreta was known for her passionate spirit and her love of family. She found joy in the simplest of things like taking walks outside, listening to the birds, tending to her garden, and admiring any flower in sight - especially orchids. Like clock work, each night you could find her and her husband watching Wheel of Fortune, followed by Jeopardy.
She was a meticulous and talented seamstress whose work brought beauty to many over the years. And if you ever visited her house, you never left hungry. Loreta was an amazing cook and baker, and her cooking will be remembered and passed on for generations.
Those who knew Loreta will remember her for her love, her generosity, and yes—her feisty personality. She was strong-willed in the best way: always honest, always spirited, and always ready to speak her mind with humor and heart.
Selfless and warm-hearted, she cared deeply for everyone that walked into her life, always choosing to see the best in people. As a breast cancer survivor, she embodied strength, grace, and resilience. Her courage and gentle presence will be remembered forever.
Loreta is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Pierino Pensenti; her children Mario Pensenti (Tena Pensenti), Donato Pensenti (Donata Pensenti), and Annette Venditti (Daniel Venditti); her grandchildren Cristina Llorca (Maikel Llorca), Daniel Pensenti, Andrea Helke (Ryan Helke), Stefania Pensenti, Carina Rawley (Daniel Rawley), and Isabella Favale; and her great-grandchildren Devon and Maddox Llorca, Ellie and Wyatt Helke, and Theodore Buonamano.
She is also survived by her sisters Anna DiStefano (Donato DiStefano) and Maria DiCarlo (Antonio DiCarlo) and brother in-law Giovanni D’Ambrosio. In addition to all of her beloved nieces and nephews and their children.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Luisa Cianfarani (Pasquale Cianfarani) and Rosa D’Ambrosio.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home and Cemetery (3691 North Seacrest Blvd., Lantana, FL 33462) at 10 a.m. Services will follow at 12 p.m. in the same location.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her- forever and always.
