Louis Chanel Bouchard's Obituary
Louis Chanel Bouchard age 87 of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away peacefully on November 4, 2014. Louis was born on May 28, 1927 in Edmundston, Canada to his father the late Mr. Maxime P. Bouchard and his mother the late Mrs. Marie Rose (nee Sirois) Bouchard. Louis moved to the South Florida area in 1967 coming from his former hometown of Lakeville, Massachusetts. Louis was an Honorably Discharged Korean Conflict Veteran serving in the United States Army as a French Interpreter and he recieved the Good Conduct Medal. He was a Master Mason of the Sublime Degree of the Grand Orient de France (GODF). Louis loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and was a devout Catholic continually worshipping at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Lantana, Florida. Louis always had a big wide smile on his face and a quick wit to match. He was always very loyal and honest to all whom knew and loved him. His Eternal Memory will be forever kept by his nephew, Raymond J. Lavoie and his wife, Rosemarie Lavoie and his loved brother and two sisters, Herman Bouchard of Corpus Christi, Texas, Marie Ange Comeau of Madawaska, Maine and Leola Dagle and her husband, Rudy Dagle of Madwaska, Maine. Family and friends will gather to visit and pay respects from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Sunday, November 9, 2014 at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, 3691 Seacrest Boulevard, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 586-1237 with a Scripture Service being held during the visitation by Deacon Michael Prestera of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, November 10, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1000 West Lantana Road, Lantana, Florida 33462, (561) 585-5970 with Father Giuseppe Saivia the Celebrant. Catholic Burial Rites and Military Honors will follow in South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 South State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449, (561) 649-6489 with the United States Army presenting Military Honors to the Family of Louis Chanel Bouchard and Deacon Michael Prestera presiding over the final rites given at the cemetery.
