Lucy Debarry-Little
Lucy was born January 20, 1927, to her parents Angelo Biassi and Elizabeth Bruno in Nanticoke PA.
She married her first husband Robert Carlis Debarry, a U.S. Marine, in 1944, he passed away in 1966.
Lucy was employed as a talented “top” seamstress and was a licensed beautician who operated her own beauty shop in Wilkes- Barre PA
She had 2 children, Robert Carlis Debarry Jr. and Lucy Elizabeth Debarry. Robert Carlis Debarry Jr. passed away in1985 from cancer.
She had 4 grandchildren: Benjamin Lieb, James Lieb, Davins Lieb and Sarah Lieb
Lucy met her second husband Richard A. Little also a widower, on a plane in Tampa Florida Airport in 1978, she was coming home from a visit, Richard was returning from business trip.
They courted between Wilkes Barre PA & Long Island NY until marrying in 1988, which in addition to her 2 natural children gave her 3 stepchildren; Richard John Little, Christine Joann Little and Bruce David Little, all who loved her very much.
One month after marriage Lucy was diagnosed with colorectal cancer.
She underwent resection of colon, but cancer had spread to lymph nodes.
After chemotherapy, this strong woman survived.
She retired in 1992 to a home in Boynton Beach Fl. where she lived happily and peacefully with her husband Richard who was an avid motorcyclist, both of them supporting veteran and first responder activities.
She was a Life Member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
In 2025, Lucy passed while hospitalized in a Hospice facility.
