My sweet Nanny, you were my role model growing up. You always carried yourself with such poise and grace. I always wished that you had been my mother. You always provided a safe, loving, and nuturing environment for me to play and simply be a child. I will love you for ever. Yes, even in death they spelled your beautiful Italian last name incorrect. I will never forget it because I heard you weekly telling others on the phone "No, it's Bottosto":-)I will never forget our last visit when I asked"Do you know who I am?" and you said "You're Missy!" It was my first real sign in a long time that you too still remembered all those times I will always cherish.
