Margaret Jackson Studdard's Obituary
Margaret “Peg” Jackson Studdard, 83, of Palm Springs, FL, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026.
Born on October 4, 1942, in Fall River, MA, Peg spent her early years in Bristol, RI with her parents, Margaret (Maggie) and Henry Jackson. At the age of 10, her family relocated to West Palm Beach, FL, where her father owned and operated the area’s first television sales and repair shop. As the oldest of six children, Peg took on responsibility early in life, a role that helped shape the strength and resilience that would define her.
Peg was a devoted mother to her two sons, John and Scott. During her marriage, she and her family lived in Tequesta, Jupiter Farms, and spent two years abroad in Saudi Arabia. Following her divorce, she returned to Palm Springs with her boys, where she rebuilt her life with determination. Transitioning from full-time homemaker to working mother, she began a career in retail banking and, through perseverance and hard work, advanced to become a mortgage specialist, a role she held until her retirement.
Peg was, in every sense, the strongest person her family knew. A true stoic, she never complained and simply endured whatever life placed in front of her. She made great sacrifices for her boys, often shielding them from the realities of financial hardship. Her love was expressed not in words, but through action, steady, consistent, and unwavering. She was deeply loyal and giving to her family and friends, and carried a sharp, witty sense of humor that could catch people off guard.
In her later years, Peg devoted herself to her grandchildren, Graham, Alexandra, and Callie, as well as her closest lifelong friends. Her grandchildren knew that a visit to her house often meant leaving with a little cash or a special treat, a clear expression of her generosity. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures: daisies, dogs, and coffee ice cream.
A devout Catholic, she was a longtime member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in West Palm Beach, where her faith remained a steady part of her life.
Peg’s strength was perhaps most evident in her final years, as she lived with chronic illness with the same endurance that defined her life. Even in her final days, she showed remarkable resolve, rallying long enough to say goodbye to those she loved and offering them the same steady presence she had always given.
She is survived by her son John and his wife, Charmaine, and their children, Graham and Alexandra; her son Scott and his daughter, Callie; and her siblings Lynne, Henry (Hank), John (Jack), and Jane (Jill), along with many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply. She was predeceased by her former husband, Dwight Studdard, and her brother, William (Bill).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Palm Beach Memorial Funeral Home.
Following the Memorial Service, there will be a Celebration of Life Reception at John & Charmaine's Home from 12:30 PM until 3:00 PM.
The address is 1400 Caribbean Road E Lake Clarke Shores, Florida 33406
