Maria Christina Rivera's Obituary
Maria Christina Rivera of Boynton Beach, Florida passed away on July 2, 2022, at the age of 81. Maria was born on October 13, 1940, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to parents Adolfo and Margarita. Maria retired from the Palm Beach County School Board. She loved knitting, gardening, fishing, and cooking. Maria leaves to cherish her memory her children Sonia Hurtado, José A. Cedeño (Tania), Wilfredo C. and Carmen Dialina Cedeño; husband, Juan Francisco Nieves; siblings, Bienviendo Rivera and Brunilda Rivera; grandchildren, Joel Zurita (Beth), Veronica Sauoza Cedeño, Luis Antonio Maldonado Jr. (Courtney), Joel Valentino, Nicholas Hurtado (Tiffany), Christina Jasmine Cedeño (Alex), Israel Alberto Cedeño, Giselle Hurtado (Robert), Isaac Angel Cruz (Alessandra), Dialina Lynette Cedeño, Victor Alexander Norton, Anglica Maria Cedeño (Alex), Nathaniel Isaiah Cedeño, and Felix Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Roman Maldonado, Londyn Grace Maldonado, Mia Elizabeth Cedeño, Alia Brielle Cedeño, Dominic Gallagher, Nicholas Hurtado, Mathias A. Cruz, Lincoln Apollo Landgraf, Stella Grace Rodriguez, Elijah Alexander Rodriguez, Samuel James Rodriguez. Maria is predeceased by her son Wilfredo; grandson, Joel; son in law, Edgar, siblings, Francisco, Eluminado and Evelyn. Maria will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 12:30 followed by entombment at Palm Beach Memorial Park Mausoleum.
