Those were my mother’s favorite phrases/questions. No matter whether you were her child she hasn’t seen in a few months or a nephew/grandchild she hasn’t seen in years or a perfect stranger in the produce isle of El Presidente or the diary case at Walmart. Sometimes, I thought strangers would get mad, but they always went away smiling because she was sharing her love of Christ. So, as she passed from this world, I’m comforted to know that my mother arrived at her true destination: to be with Jesus Christ, her Savior. As sad as we all are to say farewell to her earthly body on March 22 @6pm and March 23 at 9am, the soul and spirit of Marie Elia Rintus Demosthenes are where they were meant to be. Rest in Peace.
