Marie Islande Lecoin, daughter of late Marie Elizabeth and Edgar Rosario was born on November 25, 1926 in Anse-Rouge , Haiti. She quietly departed this life on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at home surrounded by loved ones.
Islande’s beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her survived ones. Her children: Michel, Georgette, Marie Jean, and Edward. Her grandchildren: Mildred, Valerie, David, Vanessa, Jerry, Tarah, Tameeka, Yves Jr , Jessivah, Kimberly , Jennifer and Rebecca. Her great grand children: Soriya,
Khaliyah, Collen, David Jr, Erick, Kimora, Nathaniel, Darrell Jr, Mackenzie, Alana, Yvette, Victoria and Maurice Jr.
At an early age, Islande professed her faith in Jesus Christ. Her wish was to meet the pope one day. She was a strong-minded, strong-willed, adamant and definitely sure of herself. Islande truly lived a blessed life with an abundance of love surrounded by her. She made the most simple things in life seem so comforting and joyous to those around her. Islande enjoyed making her morning coffee & bread, watching Jeopardy , eager for Wheel of Fortune to come on and lets not forget she was the 5th Golden Girl (if they had one!). Now Islande (mama/grandma/gr’un-gr’un/tutu) is in heaven with the Golden Girls having a ball. The love she had for her children will always live on. In the arms of the angel, fly away from here. We know you are in good hands now! Our hearts are broken but healed at the same time. We know you are no longer in pain but smiling on us all. Until we meet again… We Love You
Visitation will be held on Saturday May 13, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00pm. Catholic Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 1, 202 12:00pm at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home. Followed by interment at Palm Beach Memorial Park.
