Matthew Francis Orf's Obituary
Matthew Francis Orf, 58, of Lantana, Florida, passed away Friday, March 3, 2017, surrounded by his family, from complications caused by two strokes. He was born in Lake Worth, Florida on January 11, 1959. He is survived by his wife, Charlene, his beloved grandchildren, Jada Leigh, 16 and Nicholas Matthew Markham, 10, all of Lantana. He is also survived by his twin brother, Mark (Robbin); Donna Kolifrath (Jim); Mitchell (Pilar); mother, Kathleen Hall; stepmother, Sandra Orf; niece, Presley and nephew, Travis. Matthew is predeceased by his daughter, Mandy Markham; brother, Nicholas; father, Ronald and nephew, Darren. Matt was a lifelong resident of Lantana. He was loved and respected by all, especially his two grandchildren, Jada and Nicholas. They were the loves of his life and words cannot express how much they will miss their "Papa". The Orf brothers, Nick, Matt and Mark, were very well known and respected in the concrete world, taking over their father's business, Ron Orf Concrete, many years ago. Matt was also an employee of Lake Worth Drainage District for the past four years and loved by everyone. Matt and Charlene were also previous owners of Orf's Bar & Grill and Palm Beach Cafe. Matt and Charlene lost their daughter, Mandy, in 2011 and were honored to be raising her children, Jada and Nicholas. Papa was so proud of his babies and everyone knew it. Matt was the kindest, funniest man you could ever meet. He had the biggest heart, was loved by everyone and touched so many lives. He would give the shirt off his back and was the best friend you could have. None of us will ever be the same losing this man and he will never be forgotten. In Matthew's honor, his family donated his organs to the University of Miami. A special thank you goes out to two ICU nurses, Karen and Carmelle, at JFK for above and beyond love and support. Matt's services will be as follows: Visitation from 7:00PM to 9:00PM Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Palm Beach Memorial Park Funeral Home, Lantana and Funeral Service 10:00AM Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Lantana, followed by burial at Palm Beach Memorial Park, Lantana.
