Maureen Halliday's Obituary
Maureen Halliday, lovingly known as “Mo,” passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the age of 88 after a brief illness.
Born to Ruth and John (Jack) Dougherty, Maureen lived a full and vibrant life centered around family, friendship, adventure, and creativity. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Patrick, who passed away in 1978, and by her first husband, Raymond Mathieu, to whom she was married for more than 30 years until his passing in 1987. She later found love again and married Frances “Frank” Halliday.
Maureen is survived by her children Raymond Mathieu, Donna Rathburn, Susan Mathieu-Miller, Kris Reusch, and Tracy Wirth, as well as five granddaughters and two great-grandchildren, her sister, MaryJane Starkweather, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Mo embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. Together with Frank, she spent more than 15 years traveling the country in their motor home, visiting all 48 contiguous states and exploring destinations around the world. Along the way, they formed lasting friendships through the Good Sam Club and the Escapees RV Club, communities that reflected their shared love of adventure and the open road
