Mr. Nicholas Michael DeVito's Obituary
Nicholas Michael DeVito age 91 of Hypoluxo, Florida passed away on January 20, 2015 at a local hospital. Nicholas was born on December 19, 1923 in New York City, New York to the late Mr. Aurelio DeVito and the late Mrs. Rosina (nee Spinnelo) DeVito. Nicholas was a World War II Navy Veteran and he was a devout Catholic. He was a retired New York City Police Officer after many years of service and afterwards worked with the United States Postal Service until he fully retired. Nicholas was also the Chaplain at the VFW Post #441 in Delray Beach, Florida. Nicholas was a loving husband and father and was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine DeVito in 1987. Nicholas will be forever deeply missed and loved by his family and all of his loving and close friends! He leaves behind to cherish his memories his two loved children and two step children; Nicholas A. DeVito, Alectia DeVito and Lorette Martin and Mary Jane Thomas; his sister, Dorothy Payne; and his three grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews and all of their children and alll of his loving and close friends. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at St. Mark Catholic Church, 643 St. Mark Place, Boynton Beach, Florida 33435, (561) 734-9330.
