Patrick William Monaghan's Obituary
Monaghan – Patrick William Monaghan, 32, of Florida passed away on November 25, 2025
Patrick was born December 15, 1992 in Hanover, Pennsylvania the son of Patrick James and Deborah (Buck) Monaghan. After high school, Patrick enrolled and completed a 5 year apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He worked locally as a journeyman electrician, and for the past year traveled around the country to work at major new construction projects of the commercial and industrial nature.
Patrick was well traveled and lived in several states growing up. His joyful, fun loving nature was loved by all who met him. He had a tremendous fondness for the outdoors be it hiking, hunting, fishing or just studying nature. He loved hunting deer with family in Pennsylvania, Turkeys in Kentucky, or hunting and fishing in South Texas. Yet his true love was spending time free diving or scuba diving and spear fishing in the ocean. Patrick became a certified Scuba diver in Georgia at the age of 15 and really found his passion and honed his skills for the sea when he moved to Florida over 10 years ago. He had a joy of cooking and at one point dreamed of becoming a chef and was meticulously clean and organized in all he did.
Despite a grand background of experiences, and a solid foundation for a bright future, personal struggles with mental health resulted in a life ending much too early for this kind , generous, and loving man..
Patrick is survived by both of his parents and his sister Kelsey Erin Monaghan of Miami Florida as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles. He will be missed tremendously by friends and family both far and wide. He is reunited with his grandparents, extended family, and many others in heaven.
Future celebrations of Patrick’s life will be held in Florida in the near future along with a springtime gathering of friends and family in Western Pennsylvania.
The family requests no donations, flowers, or otherwise. Our heartfelt desire is to pray for his soul.
